The Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), International Finance Corporation (IFC), and International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) are all specialized agencies or bodies affiliated with the World Bank Group, which in turn is a specialized agency of the UN. The Bank for International Settlements (BIS), however, is an independent international financial institution owned by member central banks, established to foster cooperation among central banks and provide a platform for their policy discussions.
