The International Grains Council (IGC), now known as the International Grains and Feed Council, is an intergovernmental organization that promotes international cooperation in the grains sector. India has historically been a member. Membership in the IGC does not mandate specific trade agreements for exporting or importing individual commodities like rice and wheat, as global trade in these goods is governed by various bilateral and multilateral agreements, as well as national policies, rather than solely by IGC membership.
