UPI, developed by NPCI, has seen significant international expansion. As of recent developments, France, Germany, and Singapore have enabled UPI integration for merchant payments, allowing transactions from Indian users. While the UAE has seen some pilot projects, widespread merchant acceptance for international payments is still under development. Bangladesh has also explored UPI integration but is not yet a primary country for international merchant payments via UPI.
