Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) can be produced from a variety of feedstocks. Lignocellulosic biomass, such as agricultural residues (like straw and bagasse) and wood waste (from sawmills), are major sources. Additionally, waste materials like municipal solid waste and wastewater treatment sludge can be processed into SAF. Corn grain, while a source of biofuel (like ethanol), can also be converted into SAF through advanced biofuel processes. Therefore, all listed materials have potential as feedstocks.
