Sikkim is located in the northeastern part of India and lies roughly between 27.3°N and 28.1°N latitude. By examining an India map showing latitudinal lines, one can see that these latitudes extend westward across the country. Rajasthan, being a predominantly western state, is situated at significantly lower latitudes compared to Sikkim. Punjab and Himachal Pradesh are located at higher latitudes than Sikkim. Jammu and Kashmir, however, spans a range of latitudes that overlaps with the latitudinal extent of Sikkim.
