The Magadhas were a class of bards and genealogists in ancient India. They were responsible for preserving and reciting the genealogies of kings, important events, and epic tales. This oral tradition played a crucial role in transmitting historical and cultural knowledge across generations. Shramanas were ascetics, Parivraajakas were wandering ascetics, and Agrahaarika referred to a Brahmana settled in an Agrahaara (a village granted to Brahmanas).
