The Hoysala dynasty emerged in the 11th century, primarily in Karnataka. The Gahadavala dynasty rose to prominence in the late 11th century in the Gangetic plains. The Kakatiya dynasty, which ruled parts of modern Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, gained prominence in the 11th century. The Yadava dynasty, also known as the Seuna dynasty, rose to power in the Deccan region in the 9th century but flourished later. None of these major dynasties were established in the early eighth century AD; their origins and significant periods of rule lie in later centuries.
