The National Development Council (NDC) is an advisory body to the Planning Commission, composed of the Prime Minister, all Union Cabinet Ministers, Chief Ministers of all states and Union Territories, and members of the Planning Commission. Its primary role is to strengthen and mobilize the effort and resources of the nation in support of the plan for the balanced and rapid development of all the parts of the country.
