Constitutional bodies derive their existence and powers directly from the Constitution of India. The National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) was established as a constitutional body with the 102nd Constitutional Amendment Act, 2018, which inserted Article 338B. The other listed bodies, namely the National Human Rights Commission, the National Law Commission, and the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, are statutory bodies established by Acts of Parliament and do not have their roots in constitutional provisions.
